Finally, having been quarantined for swine flu, I have found some time to get my Italian genre film blog up and running. To partner it with the Continental Film Review Blog I have titled this one simply Italian Film Review. Both titles incidentally chosen as homages to the delightful Continental Film Review magazine that promoted continental European cinema to English speaking audiences from the 1950s through to early 1980s.

I promise to try and pop a few factlets in the reviews occasionally and generally give a feel for the feature under discussion but I will start from the premise that less is sometimes more and as with Continental Film Review will try and cut reviews to the key points.

Thank for that stephanie- though it is not me with the swine flu (yet!!!). It is my wife- who returned from holiday yesterday. She has it. and work has sent me home- good point on their part as I could bring the germs there.
